Un devoir d'anglais que j'ai fais avec mon amoureuse... (Rousse) Le thème? Les avantages et inconvénients de vivre à la campagne... C'est magistral...
Living in the country has both advantages and disadvantages.
On the plus side, it is often quiet to live in the country, because there is less traffic.
Another advantage is that there a lot of forests and so there are a lot of fruit-trees. (et là on commence à partir en couille)

Moreover, there are more farms, with a lot of sheep (moutons) and so the wool is better. That is an advantage for the craft industry. Indeed craft industry is more important than shopping because all of people like knitting (tricotter). So the clothes have a better quality and are so finest.
Then, there are a lot of activities in the country but as we haven't access to technology, the favourite is playing to parlours games (jeux de société).
But there are disadvantages too, to living in the country. For example, all people have a garden. So, the grass grow up too fast. But as I tell you before, we haven't access to technology and so cutting the grass costs a lot of money because we must sharpen the shears (aiguiser les cisailles).
moreover, there is a danger to living in the country. There are a lot of rivers and lakes, it's an advantage because we can do a lot of activities with that but if you can't swim, you risk drowning (la noyage).
And finally, there is a loss of religion in the country because the churches are smalls and Sundays morning the churches are very cold. So, people prefer to stay in their bed or watch tv.
In conclusion, in my opinion, living in the country has a lot of disadvantages but it is my sort of life. Yes I am a peasant ! (paysan)
C'est mon plus beau devoir d'anglais, et je me prend un 2/10 quand même... tsssssssss le monde est injuste...
